The academy is aware of a video currently being circulated on social media involving pupils in a physical altercation on a public road.
At Royton and Crompton E-ACT Academy, we absolutely do not tolerate physical or verbal abuse of any kind amongst pupils, and we are taking this matter extremely seriously.
We have been in contact with both pupils' families and we understand that the incident was not racially motivated, but escalated from a misunderstanding between the two pupils.
As an important part of our local community, we will continue to set the highest expectations of pupil behaviour both in and out of the academy
Post 16 Transition Evening 2018
Welcome to our website. I hope that this will help you to easily access information about our school.
Royton and Crompton school is an improving school. We are instilling the ethos of Respect, Community and Self to our pupils by having high expectations and insist on high standards: we expect all of our pupils to work with a fantastic attitude to learning and to behave in a way which shows respect to themselves and others.
In September 2019 we will be moving into our brand new building, which was the result of fourteen million pounds worth of investment. This will provide our pupils and the local community with state of the art facilities in all subject areas which will enable us to further develop the academic, cultural and sporting interests of our pupils in an attractive modern environment.
I hope that this website helps you share the vision of our school. If you would like to know more about Royton and Crompton, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone, email or arrange a visit.
At Royton and Crompton School, we understand that the transition from Year 6 into Year 7 can be a worrying time for parents and students. On this basis, we try to create opportunities for Year 6 students to come into Royton and Crompton School prior to starting in September, so that they start to build their confidence in a secondary school environment.
Some students can worry about starting secondary school over the summer holidays, therefore we invite all students to spend 2 days with us in the summer term. This year, the Year 6 into Year 7 Transition Days are being held on Wednesday 4th July and Thursday 5thJuly 2018. Attendance at this day enables students to meet their tutor, peers, some of their teachers, as well as find out how lunchtime works, so they can relax over the summer holiday and feel more confident for September.
Parents and carers will all receive additional information over the coming weeks inviting them to Royton and Crompton School on Thursday 5th July, in order to hear from our Head teacher, ask questions and meet Year 7 form tutors.
If you are unable to collect your results you can send in a stamped addressed envelope in order for us to post them to you. Alternatively you could nominate someone to collect them on your behalf for which they will need to bring a letter of authorisation.
