Business Studies Curriculum

Key Stage 3

Business Studies is not taken at Key Stage 3

Key Stage 4

At Key Stage 4, pupils follow the Edexcel GCSE Business (9-1) course:

http://qualifications.pearson.com/en/qualifications/edexcel-gcses/business-2017.html

The course looks at Business at two stages: Inception and growth.

Pupils consider real life business case studies to consider common business theories, practises and philosophies. Pupils are encouraged to analyse and evaluate real life situations, by applying such theories and practices.

The key stage 4 (GCSE) course provides pupils with the perfect foundation for studying Business, Accounting and management (amongst others) at further and higher education establishments and is appropriate for any pupil with a keen entrepreneurial spirit.
