Salary: Grade 6 NJC Points 28 – 33. £24,964 - £29,323 pro rata.
(Actual: £21,257 - £24,968 subject to length of service)

Terms: 36hours 40 Minutes per Week. Term Time plus 5 days (in first instance)

Royton and Crompton is a school with a bright future. We are under the guidance of a new and experienced Leadership Team who are driving the school forward.
A new build is planned for 2019 which will provide state of the art resources for all of our staff. We are situated a short distance away from the scenic Pennines and have excellent transport links from Manchester city centre.
This new and exciting role will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for the transition of students from the primary to secondary stage of education. This necessarily involves working closely with the new intake within their host schools from Year 5 onwards and developing and implementing learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. The successful applicant with be a qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will be responsible for the management and development of Transition within the school; addressing the needs of students who need particular help to overcome barriers of learning and the management of other designated pastoral workers, including the allocation and monitoring of work.
